Release Notes for EEGer4 version 440r (10 Oct 2018)
WARNING: Installation of 440r (just as all previous installs) may delete any game customizations you have made. The installers now check for customization, log the results, and allow you to abort the installation if found. Please contact support at 800-789-3456 x2 for any assistance needed in re-customizing.
Internal logic fixes, this logic is used in the review frequency data logic.
bug in update file reading if EEGer was not already running.
Fixed so reading of update files works even when realtime was not running but dongle will not reflect changes until EEGer is started.
Dongle is now reread after dongle update since it may change.
Corrected possible fault on color sets if buffer has junk (related to corruption of color files).
Corrected random number fault issue in some games.
Correct fault if image not found; changed to dynamic file names instead of fixed names.
Management data files corrections; files were sometimes corrupted but not repeatable.
Correct type error on new subset values for experimental modes, preventing a possible TK error with experimental feedback modes.
Corrected an issue which could cause Q-Wiz amplifiers to be misidentified as 2-channel when beginning a session, as well as an error which caused the amplifier to enter the wrong mode.
Changed build script to preprocess feedback mode definitions before build.
Corrected cases where screen positions were left of main window (only appeared when supporting more than 2 displays).
Corrected typo in multiple .gamedef files.
error which caused frequency lower end to reset to 0Hz when
adjusting in AT mode.
Caused by June 2017 AT fix to not allow lower end below 0Hz. Now any reward trace allows Ctrl-Up/Down to shift center freq of band but Ctrl-ShiftUp/Down only affects high freq of band.
Corrected keymaker issue to emit zerosessions=yes code in dongle updates.
functionality to retrieve a session plan from a previously recorded
session (Review Screen).
In the Review screen, select a session and use the Export button and select “Export this session plan”. Answer Yes to save this session as the current client’s default session plan for that layout. The appropriate layout must first be selected to properly export the session (if exporting a 5-trace session plan, the client must be selected as 5-trace). Once the session plan is exported, the client must be deselected/reselected to apply the newly restored session plan.
Pressing Q during a session brings up a QPS controls window. This can be used to adjust the weighting of data and see what’s going on.
boxlights and jumpbox now allow custom pictures to be used for

dedicated backup option for client and user data. This option is
accessible from the Files menu on the main screen of EEGer. This
enables easier backups and smaller file sizes when
Once the backup has began, it can not be halted without the possibility of lost data in the backup process (no lost data in current data). If there are many clients or sessions to backup, this process can take several minutes to complete. When using this option, a menu will appear which estimates the total size of the files being transferred. The user should ensure that the backup location meets the storage requirements to complete the backup. The user can then select a destination for the backup files to be stored. This location cannot be within the EEGer folder or any of its subfolders. If backing up to an external storage device or network drive, select that location as the destination. The backup files are compressed in size to take up less space and make them easier to transfer. These files can be uncompressed with EEGer to transfer data to another computer or recover after data loss (since the files are stored as though they were archived).
Finalized refrequency options (in options menu) to allow for data adjustment in the Review process Ratio screen - this allows different filter band ranges to be viewed than those specified when running a session, as EEGer records all of the raw data received from the amplifier. There is also an installable refilter utility to also produce different band results from the raw data.
resolution to Review
If the “show frequency bars” option is selected in Review, the FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) data is computed and displayed below the graph with the values shown at the mouse-time-position of the graph. If the “Use 0.125 ...” button is selected, the lower 16 Hz is displayed. Also, the max value and frequency of the current time is displayed if the mouse position is in a period.
Q-Wiz amplifiers should now work without issue, Please contact support at 800-789-3456 x2 if you encounter any problems.
Added functionality to verify an EEGer installation from within the Tech Menu (useful for troubleshooting if EEGer will not start).
Changed sound logic to restart reward sound on next reward even if not finished.
or end of impedance resets <1Hz filter history along with other
Note: many amps still take up to 10 seconds to stabilize after being in impedance mode.
Revised EDF full export logic since many viewers/importers cannot handle the standard logarithmic extensions for large data - full recording exports now viewable in any EDF+ browser.
new layout (12x) which is a 4-channel independent channel feedback
