Appendix 7: DAS1600

 

Computerboards DAS1600/12 Analog To Digital (A/D) Card:

 

The switch settings on the COMPUTER BOARDS A/D card are as follows:

 

1. Set jumpers on S1 to "5" as follows: (Off, On, Off, Off, Off, On, Off).

 

2. Set DAC0 to BIP (Bipolar) by jumping the top two pins.

 

3. Set DAC1 to BIP (Bipolar) by jumping the top two pins.

 

4. Set switch S4 to BIP (Bipolar) (left).

 

5. Set the channel select switch S5 to 16 Channel (left).

 

6. Set DIP switches on S6 to 340h by setting switches (from left to right): 3, 5 & 6 to "On" (up) and switches 1, 2, 4 & 7 to "Off" (down).

 

7. Set DMA switch S7 to "1" (left).

 

8. Make sure the J9 jumper has the bottom two pins jumped.

 

9. Make sure the J5 jumper is set to "1" (bottom two pins jumped).

 

10. Make sure the power to the computer is off then insert the A/D card in any ISA slot in the computer and fasten tightly with a screw.

 

11. Connect the 37-pin brainwave cable to A/D card and connect the DIN connector on the other end of the cable to the brainwave amplifier marked OUTPUT.

Warning: Attempting to plug in the 37-pin connector on the amplifier cable while computer power is ON almost ALWAYS 

destroys the A/D card circuitry.
