Appendix 10: Space Race Installation
WayForward Technologies SpaceRace™
You should have received the following items:
SpaceRace Installation CD
EEGer Keyblock File Disk (license update, if games purchased separately)
In order for SpaceRace to run, you will be installing game software on the Game computer and a license file on the Therapist computer.
System Requirements for SpaceRace
EEGer version 4.0 or greater; Version 4.2 or greater for single-computer or dual-monitor setup
Pentium 133 or greater, 32 MB RAM
ATI video or comparable
Windows 98SE or greater
DirectX Version 9.0*
IMPORTANT: Before installing a newer version of DirectX, be certain your video driver is compatible with that version of DirectX or you may experience problems with displays.
SpaceRace Installation
A. Game Computer - Software Installation
1. If the EGS game menu is displayed, press Esc to exit to Windows.
2. Insert the installation CD into the game computer's CD/DVD drive.
3. In just a moment, the CD should start automatically and ask if you would like to install SpaceRace. (If the CD does not start automatically, double-click on the "My Computer" icon, double-click the CD/DVD drive icon.)
4. Follow the on screen installation steps, choosing the default options.
5. Once the software has installed, be sure to restart the computer.
6. If using EEGer/EGS Version 4.1.x or greater Two-Computer setup, finalize the game installation: Launch EGS and press F9. When the list of installed games appears, click DONE-Save Configuration.
B. Therapist Computer - License Keyblock File Installation:
1. Insert the EEGer Keyblock File Disk into the appropriate disk drive.
2. Double-click the EEGer icon to start the program.
3. Select Files - Read EEGer Keyblock Files.
4. When prompted, use the Open dialog to locate the keyblock file on the CD. Click the filename to highlight the file and click OK.
5. Finalize the Games:
a. EEGer/EGS Version 4.1.x or greater, Two-Computer Setup: In EEGer, select Tools - Retrieve Installed Games List, then click SAVE All Games (or Tools-Tailor Installed Games, SAVE All Games)
b. EEGer/EGS Version 4.2 or greater, Single-Computer or Dual-Monitor Setup: In EEGer, select Tools - Game Initialization Tool, click DONE-Save Configuration. When the list of games appears again, click SAVE All Games (or Tools-Tailor Installed Games, SAVE All Games)
